Have you ever visited a garden when it was in full bloom?
When I lived near Chicago, one of my favorite places to visit was the Chicago Botanic Garden. I loved its Japanese Garden, Waterfall Garden, Conifer Garden, and Fruit and Vegetable Garden and Orchard. As someone who enjoys gardening, I appreciated the time, care, and love it takes to help a garden flourish. Plants need the right conditions to grow and bloom, and I believe the same is true for us.
If you thought of yourself as a garden, what is in full bloom in your life right now?
What helps you grow, and what keeps you from fully blooming? Are there weeds that need pulling, things that need pruning, or parts of yourself that are still waiting to grow? Are you planted in a place that nourishes your soul? Perhaps you're preparing to bloom, flourishing in this season of life, or ready to let go of what has run its course.
